Special Features

The Christian Writers Forum Blog - Each of our blog authors is at a different stage in life, with their own unique struggles that keep them from the pen. Follow their journeys as they struggle to become professional authors.

Recently Julie Arduini had the honor of interviewing Jenn Doucette about how she deals with the struggles of motherhood and balances a writing and speaking career. This is a must read for any mother! Take a look at "Step Away From The M&M's!"

Also Dustin-Lee got the privilege of interviewing Kathryn Mackel and Dallas Jenkins on the writers' strike in Hollywood. Read what they have to say on how the strike has affected them and the Christian community in "Walk The Line!"

We've also begun featuring special guests on Wednesdays, blogging on their inspirational journeys to publication. So far, our slew of authors have included Best-Selling author Sandra Byrd, Up-and-Coming suspense author Mike Dellosso, Best-Selling author and speaker Mary DeMuth and romantic suspense author Betsy Ann St. Amant. And that is only the beginning. Stay tuned for many more.

There is a new post everyday, so don't miss out! The contributing writers include: Julie Arduini, Ray Bailey, Yvonne Blake, Dustin-Lee Casey, Althea Damgaard, Tamara Fickas, Patty Hall, Deborah Harper, Gretchen Ricker, and Elizabeth Wright.

The Missing Pages Book Club - Together we read books of different genres - non-fiction and fiction. Using examples of various authors, we are looking for the deeper meaning... trying to find the "missing pages", so to speak...to help us with our own writing.

We recently finished reading James Scott Bell's Write Great Fiction: Plot and Structure and we ended the book with a special chat with Mr. Bell. You can read the interview on the blog.

We just finished reading The Potluck Club by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson. Eva agreed to chat with us when we finish the book. We are extremely excited about this book because it features six POVs with each character having a unique voice.

Grammar Grammy - Have you ever found yourself with a grammar question, and you're not sure where to turn? Look no further! Grammar Grammy is an English teacher with years of experience and will attempt to answer any question you may have.

IIn her forum you can play word games and try to improve your vocabulary and understanding of (our language). Also, you can visit the Grammar Grammy Archivefor a selection of grammar lessons written by Grammy.

Special Friends - Every month we try to have a special guest join us in our chat room. So far we have had a diverse group of special guests: Author, Producer and Director Dallas Jenkins; Author, Educator and Speaker Dennis 'Doc' Hensley; Best-Selling Author James Scott Bell; Literary Agent Bill Jensen; and Best-Selling Author Eva Marie Everson.

How It Works

In order to be a part of this forum, you must first be a member of the Christian Writers Guild. You can join the CWG by going to the Christian Writers Guild website.

Already a member? Then head for the Forum and click on the 'Register' link to join.

This forum is a work in progress for all of us. The more each of us participates, the more we benefit as a whole. In order to have your work read and critiqued, you must in turn critique someone else's work.

It's that simple.

If you just want to take part in the fellowship of the forum and do not choose to participate in the review aspect, that's great too!
